How will having two network adapters on one PC speed up the connection?

Aaron S asked:
I already know that having two separate adapters (one wired, one wireless in my case) works. I have plugged them in and everything is fine. I just want to know if it will speed up the connection or allow “double” access to the router and the data. Thanks
Corey

i’ve set up a direct lan b/w pc and my laptop. even though its working, the speed of file transfer is too slow. the max speed i get is around 1 mbps.. what might be the problem?
even after disabling Qos ps..its slow. i get only around 700 kbps. while using teracopy, the max speed i get is 1.5 mbps.
