i have been trying to install uniblue’s speed up my PC 2009 since last week. during the course of installation , the installation window displays that the installer is downloading Microsoft’s dot net 3.5. then the window keeps on showing that with the installation not completing even if i leave it to continue for hours.
What would be the problem ? or do you know how to install that software ?

some day ago i got a link from my best friend on msn windows live messenger and i stupidly opened it. it linked me to some site where i thought it was like imo.com, u know the online messenger thingies. well a few hours later my messenger didn’t work, so i went back on that same link and typed in my email add and password. i found out a couple days later (i didn’t go back online for 2 days) that the “online web messenger” was a fraud and that someone got my email add and pw and signed into my account and sent a link to a virus to my contacts. i found out that it was a spyware and i downloaded spybot and got rid of it, but my pc is still very slow. the spyware was called: AdRotator and FakeMSN8Beta. i got rid of them but my pc is still slow. do i have to reformat my pc?
ok i should add, i used CCleaner right after i noticed my pc was going very slow. i still didn’t know about the spyware yet. then i used Spybot Search and Destroy and it says that it removed the spyware. my pc seems to be going at an okay speed now, after running a bunch of antivirus programs, deleting history and all. but my friend told me there still might have been corruption so idk what to do next
